In June 2009 the Digital Enterprise Research Institute has launched its first research centre dedicated to linked data, the Linked Data Research Centre (LiDRC) .

The LiDRC is organised into four research themes:

  1. Publishing focusing on the creation, interlinking and deployment of linked data
  2. Discovery is about finding and using linked data
  3. Application Domains of linked data, from specific content domains to building applications on top of linked data
  4. Streamed Linked Data researches news feeds, microblogging, sensor data

Additionally we will provide services such as consultancy and training. In the research centre, tools and libraries for linked data processing will be developed, some of them already available as early prototypes. Stay tuned!
